Gabriel Beausoleil got into boxing when he was 15 years old, inspired by two great boxing influencers, Deano Clavet and Kevin Adams.

“Boxing is the first thing that really made me feel valued, and when I started to win tournaments, I realized that I had talent,” he explains. Gabriel then proceeded to participate in more than 50 amateur fights. He was the provincial champion in 2004 at 64 kg and in 2007 at 69 kg. He then completed level three of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) for boxing.

The sportsman also holds a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). Besides his work at Extreme Evolution, Coach Gabriel works as a physical education teacher at the Centre de qualification professionnelle et d’entrepreneuriat de Laval (CQPEL).

When the boxer was approached by Extreme Evolution, he was impressed by the space he could offer to young athletes. “It’s a massive space of more than 30,000 square feet with over 75 group classes per week such has fitness, hot yoga, bootcamp, kids classes and more. He brought his expertise to boxing fans and offers cardio boxing classes, sparing boxing classes and kids boxing classes, a full training for the whole family!

Now, it is fast becoming a hub for boxing enthusiasts. “I brought boxing to another level, as we now have professional boxers at Extreme Evolution Laval Sporting Center such as Jean-Michel Bolivar and Whitney Baille.” Coach Gabriel now works with a team, as well. His fellow coaches, including Irene Fiolek, the Canadian champion in the 60 kg category whom he helped train for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, and young boxer Matheo Sarmiento. “My passion is to teach boxing and to make it accessible to everyone,” explains Coach Gabriel. “I want people to have fun, first and foremost. I want people to like boxing.”

Extreme Evolution Sporting Center offers two annual boxing memberships such has the Silver membership, which is the most complete, includes boxing classes, weight training and sparring boxing training for only $24.99 + taxes per two weeks. There is also the Bronze membership for recreational boxing, which is a great introduction for boxing fans for only $16.99 + taxes per two weeks. A great advantage with Extreme Evolution’s package is that the gym access, group classes and cardio access is also included!

Extreme Evolution Sporting Center is a one-stop shop for all your boxing needs. “As an athlete and a coach, I don’t have to go to three different gyms to fulfill my needs. The young boxer who wants to climb the ladder and train well can do it without switching gyms, so he doesn’t have to pay extra fees,” explains Coach Gabriel.
