The Laval Interconnection Program is a new program to help skilled immigrant workers find their dream job.

The current labour shortage encourages companies to innovate to attract, recruit, and retain candidates. They use unconventional strategies; such as helping skilled immigrant workers get jobs.

The Interconnexion Laval program, created by the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry, provides companies easy access to these workers. The organization has already identified more than one hundred candidates likely to meet the pressing needs of companies in the region.

For example, Mohammed, a software developer, obtained his first job in his field in Quebec at Synergie Canada, with the support of the Interconnexion Laval team. Synergie Canada benefited from the support of an Interconnection consultant who liaised with Services Québec to obtain the PRIIME wage subsidy.

Jobs and Internships
Interconnexion Laval advisors also offer organizations a coaching service for 20-hour observation periods (unpaid) or four-week internships (paid by the company). The goal; to promote conclusive professional networking leading to hiring.

Business Support
Participating organizations in Interconnexion Laval can benefit from free support and referral services.

In collaboration with community resources, the support received is intended to help organizations meet candidates who match the desired profile. This may include candidates who have the required skills, but who could have been screened out of the selection.  In addition, to ensure the retention of these employees, our services also facilitate the integration of the immigrant in his new job.

Whether it is for corporate francization or for human resources management consulting, our consultants play an important liaison role between the company, the candidate, and the services available, which contributes to sustainable employment.
