Fall season is a special time for Laval Families Magazine and for me personally because we have hit a milestone as we celebrate our second anniversary; two full years of informative and educational articles that make our publication inspirational.

We have come a long way from our humble beginnings back in October 2012 when Laval Families Magazine was only a modest print in our community. Today, with 34,500 copies distributed and 90,000 readers we are grateful to every single one of our readers for their support.

I would like to thank all our wonderful contributors for their interesting, motivational, and vital stories we enjoyed. I also have to express my sincere gratitude to my supportive team.

Thank you to all of you, the community, our readers, collaborators, and our advertising partners.

Hollywood Loves Laval; actor David Lipper Gives Back to his Community

In September we set up an interview with David Lipper to talk about his franchise Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and his community involvement, supporting schools and students of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board.

David immediately collaborated with Laval Families Magazine because we both shared a common interest for our community. Through Menchie’s, students of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board can benefit from the fundraising events and programs such as Student of the Month and Athlete of the month.

As a strategic partnerships for the community; we welcome Mariane Chenail, President and Founder of Mother for Life, a webzine that offers information to prospective parents and new parents, from everything about pregnancy to maternity and family life.

We also welcome on board Marc De Blois, Director General of the Cosmodome, City of Astronautics. We know that scientific simulation at places like Cosmodome can be an effective way for students and adults to get a sense of how astronauts operate and live in a space rocket, explore the moon, and handle gravity.

In our Parents’ Corner Section, read about Stress and Anxiety and how to cope as a parent.

Did you know that Alzheimer´s Disease can be present ten years before the onset of symptoms? Read the Seniors’ section article to learn more about this disease.

Check out our new Laval Families Fun Activities section. This section provides a quick and easy reference of fun activities to do after-school, the weekend, and activities in general for the whole family.

Laval celebrates its 50th Anniversary; come and join in the celebration! Check out Laval Families Fun Activities or just visit www.50ans.laval.ca

Wishing you all a happy holiday season and a happy new year filled with peace, joy, success and love from all of us at LFM; Jorge, Claudia, Andrade, Audrey, Tim, Manon and Luigi.
