Hope everyone enjoyed the great outdoors, hot weather, and barbecued meals with family and friends. It was indeed a hot summer to do so. We, at Laval Families Magazine, have been working hard on our latest issue to bring our readers more educational and inspiring articles. For the past four months we have also worked on some expansion initiatives which bring us now to a solid 32,000 copies distributed in Laval and the North Shore region.

But that’s not all! We are pleased to announce the launch of our new publication, Laurentians & Lanaudière Families Magazine. This publication will cover the geographic region of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board. The new magazine will offer the same quality content Laval Families Magazine does, but it will incorporate a local perspective. Bringing two communities together through our magazines will pave the way for growth.

This back-to-school issue highlights articles that we hope can stimulate your mind, enrich your knowledge, and awaken your spirit. You will also discover a plethora of new services and programs alongside the best sponsors and advertisers. We are introducing many new initiatives; local and on-site services for Laval, Laurentians and Lanaudière. Some of them include;

  • Your Psychology Clinic - It offers an annual free autism evaluation
  • Blue Umbrella; New Therapy Center – It offers an on-site service and affordable prices for special needs children and adolescents.
  • "Rejuvenation & Innovation in Education" –A conversation with Stephanie Vucko, DG of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board.
  • “Today's Laval” –An interesting portrait of the English-speaking community of Laval.
  • “Preventive Tutoring” –Keeping the closeness of summer months throughout the school year.

Laval Families Magazine and Laurentians & Lanaudière Families Magazine are proud to announce the 2nd Annual Young Authors Contest 2013-2014, covering all of Laval-Lauretians-Lanaudière region for the first time.


Young Authors from the three regions of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board elementary schools will be invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Young Authors Contest 2013-2014.
