In the fall of 2018, Ubisoft World opened in Pointe-Claire, on the West Island, replacing the old Ubisoft Rabbids Children’s Fun Centre, which opened on August 29, 2016.

“We made changes to stay closer to Ubisoft’s DNA – technology, game development and virtual reality,” says Johanne Hudon-Armstrong, the Director of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft Montreal.

While the Raving Rabbids centre was exclusively for children, Ubisoft World is geared towards people of all ages. There are two types of activity categories offered; activities for children and activities for corporate groups. With a capacity of 250 people for a corporate event and 400 people for a family event, Ubisoft World can accommodate several, varied groups at a time.

The family experience focuses on the Raving Rabbids universe – fictitious characters from several Ubisoft video games. Various activities are offered, such as the Virtual Reality Zone, which includes immersive activities on eight simulation seats and two virtual reality labyrinths. There is also the Water Treatment Plant, which offers two ball pits, an interactive wall and a climbing wall.

“The family experience is for ages zero to 12, but it is often said that it is for ages zero to 99, because parents do it with children. Everything is interactive and everyone can play,” explains Hudon-Armstrong.

For adults, Ubisoft World offers immersive experiences for corporate groups at night. They can organize meetings, create team building activities, organize after-work events, corporate events, and more.

A particularly popular game for adults is the Eagle Flight virtual reality racing game. It is played as a team. The participants are seated on simulation seats while wearing a virtual reality helmet. The premise is a flight from a bird's eye view through a post-apocalyptic Paris. Adults can also play Just Dance as a team, among others.

Because of its size and the number of activities offered – to an audience of all ages – Ubisoft World really is unique in Quebec. Plus, all the activities come with an animation service. Sometimes other Ubisoft employees drop by, too. For example, the creator of Eagle Flight sometimes comes to welcome guests and gives a 30-minute conference on the development of technology.

Ubisoft World is a great escape from everyday life, whether with children or colleagues. For more information or to book an activity, visit world.ubisoft.com.
