Q; Why and how did you get into the Investment Management business?
A; We live in a very fast paced world where wants become needs, minds change very quickly and where money can be spent quicker than it is earned. At times things can feel chaotic. I got into the Investment Management business because I wanted to help bring structure and a process that would help clients ensure full control of their finances. In every instance, a financial objective such as schooling, a home purchase, going into business and retirement requires a sufficient amount of capital.

While a client is striving to attain their objective, there will likely be obstacles that get in the way. Having an appropriate plan will always help the individual stay on course. I am in this business because I want to help people achieve their financial goals by managing the plan and money that will help them attain it all. Building a financial plan is like drawing a map on how you plan to get from point A to point B and onward. At times you may deviate away from your goal, but having a plan and meeting with me at least once a year will always help add perspective and put you right back on track. I became a Financial Planner, to help make people’s dreams become a reality.

Q; What is your background education and what are your biggest successes?
A; I have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, a certificate in Financial Planning from Canadian Securities Institute, as well as a Financial Planning designation from the Institut Québecois de planification financière.

I have had many achievements and awards in my career thus far. That is to say, every time one of my client’s attains one of their financial goals, that is a big success for me as well.

Q; Why did you choose to work at Scotiabank?
A;
At Scotiabank, the philosophy is helping clients become financially better off. Their passion is seeing their clients achieve their goals on their own terms. Scotiabank’s orientation towards growth and success coupled with their “client always comes first” approach is a great fit and resonates well with me. As an Investment Specialist, I have the opportunity to build customized financial plans for my clients leveraging the bank’s full range of competitive investment options.

Q; What do you like most about what you do?
A; I absolutely love everything about what I do. Meeting new and existing clients every week in order to help them attain their financial goals is extremely rewarding for me.

Q; How do you personally take care of your customers?
A;
Every customer has a plan. We cannot start a business relationship without establishing a proper plan oriented towards the client’s short, medium and long term goals. A financial plan will ensure that we can always refer back to what it is that we are trying to accomplish. As a financial planner I ensure that every plan takes into consideration the following aspects of financial planning; legal, insurance, finance, taxation, investments, retirement and estates. When well crafted, we can optimize all the available financial resources and truly make a difference in a client’s life. I am always available for my clients to answer any questions they may have and also benefit from a consistent follow up from me.
