As we all know, adolescence can be a time in our lives where many changes occur.

These different changes can be emotional, sexual or physical. Sooner or later, some teens may try drugs, but won’t develop an addiction. Others are unable to stop and end up trying more dangerous drugs. Alcohol can also come into play and be another factor that can be harmful to your health. In this text, I will try to explain different solutions to this problem.

It is important to understand there are many factors that may lead to the use of drugs or alcohol. We have a fact that appears quite often; peer influence. Indeed, teenagers like to be fashionable be like their friends, but in some cases, it's not always a good idea to be like your friends. I believe some relationships must be limited because of the toxic influence, which can lead to problems.

Also, we have to understand that not everyone is happy all the time. Some young people can suffer from depression, which can lead to the use of drugs. Socialization and being open-minded can help to deter drug use. A discussion with your loved ones can be very important because they will always be there to defend you and listen to you.

Playing sports can also be a good option because it allows you to relax, but can also reduce stress or anxiety. With positive influences, it may become easier to quit drugs – or prevent teens from ever starting.

There are risks when young people abuse drugs or alcohol. As I showed in my text, I think there are solutions that can be really effective. It goes without saying that I do not agree with drug and alcohol use. The youth of today are the ones who will carry us into the future, so we need to help curb this problem.
