Vélosco: Cycling education in action!
Are you looking for an exciting activity for your 3-10-year-olds eager to pedal off on new adventures or perfect their cycling skills? Look no further! The Vélosco program, orchestrated by Club Espoirs Laval, is making a big comeback for a second year at the Centre de la Nature, starting in May. Weekly classes offer a unique opportunity for your children to discover the world of cycling in a safe and fun way. Cycling education parks opening June 2
Young cyclists between the ages of 2 and 10 are also invited to discover Laval's new bicycle education parks. These fun areas, located at Parc du Bon-Pasteur and Parc des Coccinelles, are designed as real little towns where children can learn the rules of the road in complete safety. Everything is in place for a day of family enjoyment, while helping to train the next generation of responsible cyclists!

Sound the alarm; it's the Laval firefighters' race!
One of Laval's finest traditions returns for a flamboyant edition on Sunday, June 2, 2024! More than just a race, the Course des pompiers de Laval is a chance to contribute to a noble cause: the Fondation des Pompiers du Québec pour les Grands Brûlés (the Québec firefighters’ foundation for burn victims). Youngsters can take part in the adventure with routes of 1, 2 and 5 km—an ideal opportunity to introduce them to the excitement of running. This high-spirited event has become a must for Laval families.  

Whatever your level, this race is for you! Registration includes everything you need for an unforgettable experience: a challenge, a participation medal, a T-shirt and, of course, a snack to keep your strength up after so much effort. And take note that you will cross the finish line right in the middle of the excitement of the Grande Fête des pompiers!
