In 1974, West Island College (WIC) opened its doors with a vision to provide an exceptional educational experience that fosters a sense of belonging in its community. As the institution commemorates its 50th anniversary, the school has built a solid reputation in Montreal’s educational community due to its enduring commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

Though it originally opened as a French school, today’s WIC embraces a unique educational model. It houses two schools within the same campus: a French curriculum school and an English school with a French immersion program. This bilingual environment enhances students' language skills in both official languages and fosters an understanding of cultural diversity and global perspectives. Students, known as "Voyageurs," embark on a path of intellectual and personal growth guided by dedicated educators.
