As we present the November 2024 - January 2025 issue of Laval Families Magazine, we do so with a mix of excitement and nostalgia. Our cover story highlights the upcoming Laval Aquatic Complex, a visionary project set to open its doors in early 2025 (pages 8 and 9). This facility represents not only a stunning architectural feat but also a major step forward in promoting community wellness and athletics in Laval. With state-of-the-art swimming pools, diving platforms, fitness rooms, and a multifunctional hall, the complex will be a true pillar for the city, welcoming all with its universally accessible design.

In our Business & Career section (page 16), we take a close look at Quebec’s new Privacy Law—Law 25—which places greater responsibility on businesses to safeguard personal data. We break down the key points every entrepreneur should know about this important legislation. And for those navigating the complexities of real estate, our piece on the legalities of the Promise to Purchase (page 18) is a must-read, offering clarity on conditions for withdrawal.

For families looking for fall fun, our guide to local activities (page 23) promises a season packed with entertainment for all ages. From digital experiences to live shows, there's something for everyone right here in Laval.

However, this issue is more than just another edition—it marks the final chapter of Laval Families Magazine. After over a decade of connecting families, sharing stories, and celebrating this wonderful community, we are closing our doors. While this is a bittersweet moment, it’s also an opportunity to look forward to new beginnings.

Our founder, Luigi Morabito, is embarking on an exciting new venture: the launch of the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. Open year-round, the sanctuary offers a variety of experiences, from hiking in the summer to snowshoeing in the winter, with opportunities for wildlife enthusiasts, families, and school groups alike. It’s a project that reflects Luigi’s passion for creating impactful experiences—something that has been at the heart of this magazine since the beginning.

As we say goodbye, we thank you—our readers, contributors, and community—for your unwavering support over the years. Laval Families Magazine may be ending, but the spirit of connection and storytelling will live on in new and exciting ways.

With gratitude and best wishes for the future,

The Laval Families Team
