Agape is Greek, Hebrew and Latin translated into English, meaning love, a word
which became particularly appropriated in Christianity as the love of God for
mankind.
A LITTLE HISTORY...
The Youth
and Parents AGAPE Association Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization
serving the English speaking and multi-cultural communities of Laval, Quebec.
Agape was
established in 1976 by Rev. Father Donald O'Rourke, priest at Holy Name of
Jesus Parish at the time, together with Leo and Cliffelene Young, dedicated
parishioners.
Through
the support of volunteers, many people became involved with pick-up,
preparation and deliveries of food to needy families in Laval, participating in
annual food drives.
It soon
became evident that more help was needed to back up Leo and Cliff's great work
of love...
